Our Staff

Each class has a state-certified teacher and an assistant teacher. The maximum class size is 20 children. The staff is committed to providing a supportive, caring environment and to help parents with the challenges they may face raising their children.

Mrs. Carol Palmer

    The 2017-18 school year will be Carol’s 14th year as Director and her 23rd year as a Teacher at Creative Learners II Preschool.

    Carol grew up in CA, the 3rd oldest of 8, and has lived in Rockford for 28 years. She has been married to Doug, for 39 years. He is a cancer survivor & works as a Process Engineer.

    Their three children, Tim, Josh & Cynthia, all graduated from Rockford Christian High School, where Carol helped in costuming musicals & plays.
     
    Tim has an extensive heart related medical background, which is how they found out first hand of the blessing the Ronald McDonald House Charity is to families.

    Carol also enjoys bicycling, volunteering as a historic re-enactor, scrapbooking & cuddling w/ her cat Boots. She sings and plays guitar and has a great appreciation of music, a legacy passed down from her father & mother.

Mrs. Sue Anderson

    The 2017-18 school year will be Sue's 10th year with Creative Learners II as a Teacher's Assistant. She also was the substitute teacher for 2 years.

    Sue has been married to Ron for 18 years. They have two daughters who attended Creative Learners II. Cassie attends Rock Valley College and Kate is a freshman at Boylan High School. In 2004, as a parent volunteer, Sue took on the responsibility of handling the Scholastic Book Club orders and continues to still do it. 

    Growing up in a large family of 7, and being the youngest, she was an aunt as young as 5. Sue has 20 nieces and nephews and several grand-nieces and nephews.
